My Design Philosophy:
Universal Principles of Design
Universal principles of design guide me in making products that are in line with human nature and intuition. Human motivation is tied to subconscious instincts, perceptions, and influences. It is also important to consider the deeper underlying symbols and meanings in psychology and anthropology.
Humane Technology Design Guide
We need to shift the focus of technology and business models from exploiting human vulnerability and maximizing users’ attention to focusing on supporting people’s well-being, political democracy, a global shared information environment, and creating human technology.
Inclusive and Accessible Design
People with disabilities should be able to equally perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with devices and tools (for example, WCAG for web accessibility). Furthermore, design should take diversity into its center point, and ensure the involvement of everyone to the greatest extent possible.
MDA Game Design Framework
MDA framework stands for Mechanics, Dynamics, and Aesthetics. This framework helps me analyze the construct of a game: the rules and boundaries of a game (mechanics), interaction and playing environment (dynamics), player’s narrative, emotion, and feeling (aesthetics).

I have a chronic condition – POTS, I have so much empathy for people with disabilities and chronic illnesses.

I am fluent in English, Chinese, and German, currently learning French. I am insatiable about learning new cultures.

I meditate daily, and I am a volunteer at a local meditation center for assisting classes

I often writing about meditation, womanhood and my chronic illness to empower people. Check out my recent writings here.
🎲 Boardgames
My recent favorites are Dune: Uprising, Wingspan and Steam Up. I like organizing boardgame meetups to bring people together.
